Oriel Cottage and House Martins are two beautifully converted barns well away from the hustle and bustle, but near enough to the stunning coastline to be able to leave footprints in the sand within 15 minutes!
Whether you are a couple wanting to get away from it all for a short break, a family, or a group of friends wanting to spend time together exploring this beautiful area, we can comfortably accommodate you in our two luxurious cottages, overlooking wooded valleys and the hills beyond.

Oriel Cottage - Accommodates

Although this building was originally the shippen to the old farmhouse of Hewish Barton, it is now a very comfortable home with no sign of anything left by the cows!
It is spacious, light and airy, with slate floors throughout, vaulted ceilings, original oak beams and a wood-burner for those chillier evenings (not to forget central heating!) The open plan shaker style kitchen opens onto the living area and French doors lead out to a large patio for al-fresco dining whilst enjoying beautiful views.
There are two large bedrooms - one with French doors opening out on to the patio - so you may have morning coffee sitting outside your bedroom. This room has ensuite super-size shower. It also has a large walk-in wardrobe.
The second bedroom at the other end of the cottage can provide accommodation for a couple and child (or could be used as a twin room) - and is next to the family bathroom, which has a luxury roll top bath and separate large shower. Both bedrooms have king-size beds.

House-Martins - Accommodates 6
This is adjacent to Oriel Cottage and is similarly finished to a high standard. It also has French doors from the living room on to the patio where you can relax on those summer evenings whilst wining and dining.
A woodburner sits in the living room to snuggle in front of during dark chilly evenings. There are three bedrooms, two with kingsize beds and the third with twin beds. The luxury bathroom has separate bath and large shower and there is also a second toilet and washroom.

Outside - There are twelve acres of fields and woods to explore, and a large garden runs downhill to the hidden pond in secluded woodland, fringed by banks of large ferns. The woods are home to a pair of owls and many song-birds - deafening in the Spring! Deer roam the hills and you will almost certainly see buzzards circling - and you may be lucky enough to spot the peregrine falcon. Swallows and house-martins swoop continually during the summer months.
Both cottages have TV, DVD and CD players, electric cookers, microwaves, fridge/freezers, dishwashers and washing machines. Garden furniture on patio and large barbeque available.
Young children must be supervised because of open streams and ponds in the grounds.
